Polaris version 1.4.07 has been deployed, introducing new features and enhancements to our community platform. The focus of this update is on improvements to event organization and usability, as well as bug fixes for event organization.
Features & Enhancements
Events: Registration option for “invited persons” only
There was frequently a requirement to facilitate event registration exclusively for a specific group of attendees. This feature is now implemented.
If the checkbox “Only allow registration of participants appearing on the list” is enabled in the registration, only the participants from the participants list can register for this event.
NOTE
People not in the participant list will see the event, but will get the message "This event is only for invited persons, please contact the event organizer".
Visibility section always open
The visibility section of an article (event, news, newsletter, etc.) is an important area that is frequently used. Previously, this area always had to be opened separately. This has now been improved by making this area always open by default. This saves many mouse clicks ...
Widget integration for new knowledge base in Polaris administration
With the launch of the new knowledge database from Polaris, access to it has also been streamlined. In the Polaris administration (backend), there is a widget icon located at the bottom right. A single click opens the search and navigation directly within Polaris, allowing users to stay on the page. Depending on the area in the Polaris administration, the relevant search content is loaded in advance. This has significantly enhanced access to the help pages.
Bug fixes
Duplicating an event: parameter settings for the promotion in other units are copied now
When duplicating an event, these parameters will now be copied. In general, these checkboxes should be enabled to ensure the event appears in the list view of other units.
Deregistration from an event: Display of the line "Number of participants: 1" has been removed
The misleading display of the line "Number of participants: 1" has been removed in the frontend.
The attendance list no longer showed the registration status
In the attendance list that can be exported to an event, the registration status (?) or (0) or (X) was no longer displayed. This error has now been fixed.
Event registration: Problem with interdependent questions that are related to each other
The issue with saving in the event registration when some interdependent questions were related to each other is now fixed.
When user cancels Payment (closing modal) the transaction was not fully cancelled
If someone canceled the payment by closing the Payrexx modal (or the website), the transaction remained in the "Pending Payment" status. Reopening or reloading the web page (even on a different device while logged in) caused the modal to retrigger, preventing the user from changing the options during registration. This issue has now been resolved.
