Member parameters – Communicates by

For the "Communicates by" option, there are essentially three different types available:

Postal mail only

This option is valid for any member. Typically members without an internet connection have this option. The club secretary has the duty to print out the messages for active members without email and dispatch them by postal mail. This process is not automated.

Email only

This option is valid only for other contacts and prospects. Typically a widower or a restaurant have this option selected.

Email or postal mail

All active members must have this option selected. Postal address is required by Rotary International and for receiving the printed Rotary magazine or other printed matters.

NOTE

There is no option "none" which could be selected, because communication is an essential part of the Rotary membership.
