Polaris version 1.5.14 has been deployed. The focus of this update is on small improvements and bug fixes for a wider user base.
Features & Enhancements
Instead of "Shadow Club" is shown, the real home unit is now shown for external users. External members imported from RI are members of clubs outside your Polaris instance. They are stored in Polaris in the Shadow clubs (Rotary, Rotaract, Inner Wheel).
Decouple Polaris and SEMDA field length validations
Polaris saves now long values in the database, but it reduces the value to the length permitted by RI before sending this shortened value to SEMDA and RI. This inevitably leads to a difference between Polaris and RI.
Only specific areas are intended for such treatment:
Academic title => Polaris stores the full length; the value is not sent to RI at all if it exceeds the maximum length (12) permitted by RI
Address line1 => Polaris stores the full length and transmits the truncated value to RI
Address line2 => Polaris stores the full length and transmits the truncated value to RI
City => Polaris stores the full length and transmits the truncated value to RI
Classification => Polaris stores the full length and transmits the truncated value to RI
URL (webpage) => Polaris stores the full length; the value is not sent to RI at all if it exceeds the maximum length (80) permitted by RI
Schedules: Additional text for ClubFinder => Polaris stores the full length and transmits the truncated value to RI
Bug fixes
Some member had "Sponsored by:" in frontend (FE), but no sponsors in backend (BE)
When logged in as Guest + Admin full rights in a Metroclub, the "Account" icon was hidden in the member list
Comparing members in Polaris and RI did not work for Rotaract Clubs
An attempt to process roles caused an error (500).
Verifying member data when a member was added as a guest served no purpose (missing or incorrect data could not be modified anyway)
Utility > member list: The selection of individuals' current and former affiliations was not working correctly
The "No printed magazine" option was incorrectly set for newly created members. The "Free of charge" value is now the default again.
