Polaris version 1.5.13 has been deployed. The focus of this update is on small improvements and bug fixes for a wider user base.
Features & Enhancements
Handling of individual's current and former affiliations and of deceased members in the Membership management menu section is improved
The menu item "Member Management > Former" has been removed and replaced with the option to filter individuals with current and former memberships in each specific member menu area (Members, Prospects, Guests, Honorary Members, Other Contacts) accordingly.
A new column “Affiliation status” was introduced
The column has the following potential values:
Current
Most often the default value
Is used when the most recent affiliation between Unit and Individual has no end date
If the individual has several terminated affiliations and the most recent affiliation with this unit has no end date, then this individual is considered "current" in this unit.
Former
The intention of the filter-option is to filter for former affiliates who are still alive
Is used when the most recent affiliation between Unit and Individual has an end date defined
If the individual has several terminated affiliations and the most recent affiliation with this unit has an end date, then this individual is considered "former" in this unit.
Data of former member can be edited in this unit only if this is the timely latest affiliation.
Deceased
Is used when the Individual is marked as deceased
If the individual has several terminated affiliations and the most recent affiliation with this unit has an end date and the Individual is marked as deceased, then this individual is considered "deceased" in this unit.
Data of deceased member can be edited in this unit only if this is the timely latest affiliation.
Overwrites the other two values
Make the comparison between members in Polaris and those in the RI database available to club membership admins - Select “RI-Data Viewer > Compare Members.”
Bug fixes
External members and other contacts do not receive Welcome letters and Letters to survivor anymore
When switching from one club to another, members lost their admin rights for other units.
When affiliating an Individual to the club AND the Individual will not be synced via SEMDA, it is now possible to set a “Start of affiliation date” longer than 30 days in the past.
Tab "Locations" on smartphone > icon "Edit" was missing in the Action column
Member management > tab All > Financial account information of guests, members of another unit of the instance, were available.
