General terms and conditions for online transactions via the Payrexx payment platform
Clubs and other Rotary organizations (e.g. Districts, Foundations, Fellowships, Services, etc.) have the option of concluding a contract with the payment service provider Payrexx AG, 3600 Thun, Switzerland ("Payrexx") in order to process online payments. This makes it possible to pay online for events, products, donations, etc. using the usual means of payment (Visa, Mastercard, TWINT, PostFinance, PayPal, Klarna, etc.).
Payrexx, as a financial intermediary SRO (Imprint payrexx.com), assumes the account verification of the organizations within the framework of the due diligence obligations applicable to financial intermediaries in accordance with money laundering legislation and guarantees the proper processing of payment transactions for the benefit of the organizations connected to the payment platform in accordance with its own contractual and business conditions. These terms and conditions are available here and also form an integral part of the contract with Payrexx.
Payrexx is solely responsible for payment transactions via the Payrexx payment platform. Neither Rotary Communication Services Schweiz-Liechtenstein nor the Polaris platform are involved in payment transactions.
As a regulated company, Payrexx must comply with the requirements of financial supervisory authorities, card companies and payment processors. Accordingly, business models with prohibited or only limited permissible product offerings are excluded from payment transactions via the Payrexx payment platform. The organizations commit to fully adhere to these stipulations as per the agreement with Payrexx.
In order for an organization to conclude a contract with Payrexx, it must provide these Required Information for Account Verification.
Data security
The data exchange between the Polaris websites and the Payrexx payment system occurs in a secure and encrypted fashion.
Polaris does not retain any information regarding the payment methods utilized or their connection to individuals.
NOTE
Payrexx payment with predefined payment providers is not available in all countries (see "Country availability"). If your country is not listed, an external payment provider (e.g. Paypal) can be configured in Payrexx. In this way, the organization can use the external payment provider and integrate it into Polaris via Payrexx.
This currently applies in particular to: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Spain and Sweden.
Prices and conditions
Rotary Communication Services Schweiz-Liechtenstein charges the following usage fees for the online payment options in Polaris and Payrexx:
Prices for clubs, fellowships and other organizations at club level
FREE
The platform can be accessed without any cost – only the transaction fees mentioned below will be applicable.
Prices for national organizations, districts and organizations at district level
ANNUAL FEE
The annual usage fee is CHF 180,00 excl. VAT, plus the transaction fees listed below.
The subscription starts with account creation and is charged "pro rata temporis" by June 30. The duration of the contract is effective for the initial year until 30.06 and will automatically extend for another year, unless a written termination is provided at least three months prior to the expiration (the date of acknowledgment of the termination notice is applicable).
The fees for transactions, as indicated in the table below, are applicable to online payments made through Payrexx. For online transactions using external payment providers, the fees set by those providers will be in effect.
NOTE
If there is no revenue generated through the online payment method for a duration of 9 months, the organization's account will be suspended on the Payrexx payment platform.
Assistance package for registration with Payrexx (optional)
The setup and configuration of the Payrexx payment platform can either be carried out by representatives of the respective organization (club, district, foundation, community, etc.) themselves or, if desired, by the Polaris team for a one-time setup and support fee.
The following services are included in the assistance package:
Setting up the Payrexx account
Individual configuration: users, domain, look and feel settings (logo, colors), credit card billing, payout settings, notification settings, ...
Support with the club's account verification in coordination with Payrexx
Selection of possible payment providers
Creation of a donation page for club projects and integration into Polaris (can be used immediately)
Personal support with questions regarding the setup of online payments (Payrexx)
You can order the support package when you register (CHF 300,00 incl. VAT) or afterwards here (CHF 350,00 incl. VAT).
NOTE
The support for setting up other (external) payment provider accounts (e.g. PayPal) is not included.
Payrexx transaction fees
Payrexx offers two payment provider solutions: Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus.
Payrexx Pay is exclusively for merchants located in Switzerland. Payrexx Pay Plus is accessible to merchants from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Bulgaria.
NOTE
The fees listed here only apply to Payrexx providers. If you use another (external) payment provider (such as Paypal) and integrate it via Payrexx, the transaction fees of this provider plus Payrexx surcharge (0-1%) will apply.
