Overview
Content blocks are elements, which helps you to produce modern and readable web pages for your organization. They allow you to fill-in your texts, place pictures, files, external videos, calendar events, member cards and other visuals and control. You can mix all types of content blocks on one page and design it by varying the content block order.
The layout of the content block is pre-defined, with limited possibility to adapt it. Content blocks do not offer you the the full flexibility of an HTML editor, but ensure that your web-page will always look reasonable and will work also on tablets and smartphones. That's why all content blocks use the full width of the page.
In addition to the primary image and text, following content blocks are available:
Title
Text
Image with text
Single image
Single file
Separator
Video
Related event
File collection
Image collection
Related content

Advanced options for images
Work with the primary images
Special feature of the primary image
The first content block in articles such as Events, Letters, News, Projects and others, contains the primary image. This image is the only one that appears in the Slider, Carousel, Overview, in portrait format (on mobile devices) and on the page with the article details. Always make sure that you use high-resolution and appropriately sized images. Otherwise your website may look unprofessional.
Uploading the image
To upload an image, you can drag it into the upload area or click on the area and select the image from your computer. The maximum size of an uploaded file is 20 MBytes.
Cropping the image
You can use the blue buttons at the top to make the image smaller or larger, move or rotate it. You can also use the blue dots on the edge of the image to adjust the image size with the mouse. The white dashed lines and the white plus in the middle show what will be visible in the image. There is no need for a white border around the image.
Selecting the display strategy
Depending on how the checkbox below the image is set, there are two different displays.
“Cover full area with image” = disabled
With this strategy, the entire image remains visible in all display formats. Depending on the image format, white space might be added to the right and left of the image in the Slider or in the portraits, and above and below the image in the Carousel. The size of the image can be adjusted proportionally in the list and in the detailed view.
“Cover full area with image” = enabled > Set focus point
This strategy completely fills the available format by cropping the image to the format size and keeping the focus point in the center. No white space is added. Instead, the image can be cropped slightly to fit the available format.
A small white circle appears in the image and can be moved with the mouse to set the focus point. The effects of this movement are immediately visible in the image preview below.
Setting the image size in %
Finally, you can set the image size in %. This only affects the display on the detail page.
ATTENTION
Don't forget to click on the "Save" button to save the changes!
Work with the secondary images
Secondary images can be uploaded to the content blocks "Image with text", "Single image" and "Image collection".

After cropping the image, the further editing options are limited to the following areas:
Image size
In addition to the options "Small", "Medium" and "Large", the option "Full" (full size) can be selected for the content blocks "Single image" or "Image collection".
Alignment of the image
In the "Image with text" content block, the image can be positioned on the left or right, with the text on the opposite side. You can also select whether the text should flow around the image or not.
Embedding images in text fields
In the content blocks where text is used, images can also be inserted with a simple copy/paste command. However, the images must already be cropped and the resolution is limited to 300 dpi. This method is therefore not suitable for high-quality images that are to be displayed in any size on the desktop screen.
After inserting the image, the following adjustments can be made using the editing tool that appears:
Adjust the image size (avoid maximum size)
Set text to right or left of image, image not linked to text
